Why didn't someone tell me that Reeses has taken the peanutbutter cup and turned it into the very likeness of a Three Musketeers bar?
I stopped at the drug store today after finishing a grueling conditioning class at the gym (where I vowed for 45 minutes never to eat junk food again) and made the best discovery and impulse buy I have made in quite some time. I present to you the Reeses Whipps candy bar.

Reese's has come out with a new twist on the peanut butter cup. I know what you are thinking, "How on earth could you improve the peanut butter cup?". You can't but you can take two good things and combine them to make something better. I was taught as child that two wrongs don't make a right but I learned today that two rights do make an even better candy bar.
After a healthy lunch I enjoyed this candy bar for dessert. It was delicious. I will purchase one again however it is not good enough to completely replace the peanut butter cup or light and fluffy chocolate bar in my life. This just means I have three favorite candy bars. It's like getting a chocolate and vanilla twist cone when you can't decide which flavor you like more at the moment.
I encourage you all to go to the drug store today and treat yourself to a Reeses Whipps then leave a comment and let me know what you think.
PS - Ironically the drug store mentioned earlier is the same drugstore where I made this discovery and impulse buy. It is a small, small world, especially considering that there is a drug store on every corner in this city.

That didn't happen to be a Duane Reade was it? :) I will definitely try one of those...maybe we'll take a family walk across the street to walmart tonight.
OH that looks FANTASTIC, I want one RIGHT NOW, I'm not kidding. LOL. NICE discovery. I'll let you know what I think.

So random that you write about this today, because yesterday I was writing about candy on my blog and found out that MY two favorite candy bars (twix and the pb cup) and morphed into one (the PB twix). How did I not know that?! Yay for happy candy discoveries!
I totally do not love this candy bar. I probably cried for three days because I was so disappointed. I too found it at a store thinking it would be good. But no, I'm sticking with the originals.
Yuck! I tried it today and I have to completely disagree with you. If I'm going to eat 230 calories it's going to be the real deal Reese's PB Cups--that whipped stuff was blah!
I too love the whips. I saw a girl eating one a few months ago and looked for one every time I went into a store for months after that. When I finally found one I literally screamed...it was a little embarrassing.
LOVE that candy bar... though I would agree it doesn't replace the original favs. We totally have the same taste.
I'm having flashbacks of the Reese's Peanut Butter commercials about "You put your chocolate in my peanut butter", "No, you got your peanut butter on my chocolate". Their whole slogan was basically two rights make a great candy bar.
Unadulterated M&M's are still my favorite; no peanuts, no peanut butter, no funny stuff. :o)
