Lessons Learned

Who knew . . . I could learn so much in the first month and 4 days of the new year?

- I discovered that no fun = no control over tear ducts
- I found out that weak tear ducts and chopping onions do not make for dry eyes and extra precaution should be taken so you don't slice off your thumb (good thing the knife was incredibly dull).
- I learned that chili takes only 1/8th of my brain power to prepare but letting it cook for hours takes all the patience and more than I have.
- I was told that most people FOIL but not me . . . I FLOI, I am cool like that
- I relearned Quadratic equations and they don't stand a chance against me
- I was reminded that miracles happen everday and today I was granted the very miracle I needed at the very moment I needed it after days of angst and stress! I feel like a new person!
- I realized that I could own a dog if I wanted to and I someday I want to own a golden Labradoodle
- I learned that January and February are horrible months. I never knew this until I tried to survive them without skiing on a regular basis.

1 month down and 11 more to go, I am getting a sense that this year is going to be full of a lot of learning for me.
