Upon moving here 11 months ago I decided to find the best burger in city. Where this idea came from I do not know. Many people warned me that there were too many restaurants to even know where to start and some were helpful in referring me to the Zagat guide or articles listing the best of the best. Yet I set out on this quest and somehow convinced Keila to join me. We started with Burger Heaven (start at the top right?) and worked our way through a long list of restaurants. Over time different people joined me for dinner throughout a variety of locations around the city and even in neighboring states and after consuming quite a few burgers the search continues, but here is what I have learned so far.
1) I can eat burgers almost every week for close to a year and still crave a good burger.
2) New York City has ALOT of restaurants, and almost all of them serve burgers
3) Cheap burgers can be just as tasty or just as bland as expensive burgers
4) A burger in New York ranges from $4 to $25. I am sure there are more expensive burgers for example the Japanese Kobe Burger served at BLT for $62 without tax or tip. Honestly, anything over $15 is a ridiculous if you ask me.
5) My favorite type of burger involves a sturdy bun, medium well flavorful patti, mayo, ketchup, avocado, and blue cheese
6) French fries are an important part of the burger experience and can make or break a good burger.
7) Sweet Potato fries while they are new concept to me and I like them I am usually disappointed because they tend to be small, soft, and burned cripsy. I need to look into this more.
8) Everyone loves burgers, young, old, male, female, everyone.
Some of the restaurants that I have visited:
Burger Heaven, BLT, Good Burger, The Burger Company, Shake Shack, The Burger Joint, Metro Diner, Restro, Chirpin Chicken, Trailer Park, Island Burger, BRGR, Cafeteria, Cheese Burger Cheese Burger (NJ), Barley House (NH)
The search continues . . .

Wow that looks like a fun project!! There's a place here you'll have to try when you come back, the Sweat Potato Fry's are amazing.
What makes the metro diner so great is the glazed onions!
