Who knew . . . technology would finally catch up to one of my potentially annoying personality traits?
I noticed a while back that I tend to ask quick litte questions when the answer is obvious or there is no reason behind the question. For example, my roommate is dressed in her running clothes and putting on her running shoes and I ask her "Where are you going?" Of course I know she is going running but for some reason I still ask. My other favorite is if someone walks into the room I will ask them "What are you doing?" right as they are reaching for the remote control or are obviously putting something away. I don't know why I ask or why I want to or need to know, I just find myself asking.
Have you heard of twitter?

Apparenly it is a new social networking site that allows friends to update their status on a frequent basis and update others of what they are doing, where they are going, what they are thinking, or what questions they have. A little like the Facebook status but more short and frequently updated.
My coworker was telling me about this and said a guy posted a question about comcast service that he was frustrated with. He was facing a 45 minute wait time to get help via the phone. So as he waited he "twittered" what he was doing a comcast rep "twittered" back and was able to help him determin he needed a service visit and scheduled one for him all within 20 mintues. There was no need to wait 45 minutes to speak to a representative.
What do you think? Should I sign up? Who wants to be my friend on twitter? Do you think my habit of asking short questions like this will improve for the good or bad? What kind of a name is twitter? Than again what kind of a name is facebook, gmail, google, yahoo, the list could go on.

So what do you think?

I don't even know how I found you (I think you are a friend of a friend), but I love your blog! I started twittering not too long ago (here's my link: http://twitter.com/eliwimmer), and it's also cool because you can link your twitter page into your blog to keep friends updated every time you have something to say. It's fun!
I think that you should do it. I would volunteer myself as your first twitter friend. I ask Jose those questions all the time and it makes him insane. Every time he walks out of the room I ask him where he is going. Sounds like a genius idea to me!
twitter is a dumb word. I wouldn't support it. Let me know what you decide to do :-)
I wonder if Cindi wishes you had discovered Twitter a couple years ago?
Oh my gosh, i'm teetering on the edge of twittering too! I feel like it might be a bit TOO invasive/obsessive- you can communicate your every move and thought at every moment. Kind of scary!
I was inspired by you to start my own blog (despite my lack of husband or children), and I finally did it last week. Check it out at http://quirkykatie.wordpress.com/
Yikes.
I am laying on my bed reading your blog.
Since when does asking questions become a bad thing? Do it! What do you have to loose.
Actually, THANK YOU- wait till you have to deal with all of her issues as her Relief Society Pres- let's just say, watch your pearls . . .
