Freedom

Who knew . . . it would take me one and half hours at 7 AM to excerise one of the many freedoms I enjoy as a citizen of this nation?
I thought I would beat the crowds by going at 7am. The crowds were there to welcome me and according to my neighbor had been there since before 5:45am. The line stretched from the school, down W 97th around the corner and up Columbus Ave to 99th street before the police and contsruction crews decided it was a good idea to create the line infront of the school rather than on the street.
Two words for next time: absentee ballot!

photo taken by me on my cell phone as I left the polls and nearly fell down the steps onto my face.

Voting by absentee ballot is sooo easy I can't believe everyone doesn't do it. Now that you're done voting can we hear about clown training?

I'm so glad you stuck it out. I was afraid you might find waiting in line to vote for the president not as worthwhile as say waiting in line all day to see Bon Jovi in CP. Glad to know you have your priorities straight.
