Sweet Tooth x3

Who knew . . . I would develop a serious sweet tooth while living in NYC?

I always enjoyed dessert but would pick salty and savory foods over the sweets any day. Well things change and thanks to Levain bakery, Magnolia bakery, and Sugar Sweet Sunshine bakery I have found more to love in live and I must say if I ever stop running there will be more of me to love. Levain's amazing cookies (seriously delicious) and Magnolia's banana pudding (so good homeless people ask for it by name) and Sugar Sweet Sunshine's sunshine cupcakes (worth traveling to the lower eastside for) are 3 of my favorite treats. Honestly I can't pick a winner between the three and why should I?

I have a few more places I need to try like the Dougnut Plant, 16 Handles, and please chime in if you are reading this and have other suggestions. For all you out-of-town readers please come visit and when you do you let's get dessert.
(This post is inspired by Alicia. Thanks for the visit and to help me realize Levain on my way to work, sort of. That chocolatechip walnut mound of a cookie made for a delicious second breakfast.)

I ate the oatmeal raisin while waiting for my plane. YUM!!! They are huge and delicious. Thanks for indulging me and stopping on the way to work.

You picked three of my faves! Have you been to Butter Lane on East 7th St.? Another reason to go to the east side. I think they have won the award for my favorite cupcakes in the city.

Levaine are probably my favorite cookies, but City Bakery chocolate chip cookies are a close second. Plus, you can get mac and cheese by the ounce there.
