Leslie and I know NOW!
Tuesday evening I talked Leslie into taking an abs class with me. The class started at 7:15 which usually isn't a problem unless you are just getting off the train from work and it is 7:00. I raced home, changed and sprinted 15 blocks to the gym. It was the most intense warm up in freezing cold weather I have ever experienced. Good news, I barely missed being hit by a cab when crossing the street and made it with a minute to spare. It was a miracle. The class was great and the planks that they made us do were incredibly hard but were for our own good or at least that is what I told myself.
After class we decided to explore the gym a little since neither of us had been to this location. It is located in the bottom half of an apartment building so the gym is divided into 4 levels. The lobby is on the first and each floor then has a different part of the gym. After class we walked up to every level and found that the 4th floor has cardio and weight machines so we spent the rest of our work out on this level.
As we were leaving we walked all the way back down talking about who knows what when we came upon a guy coming up the stairs. As we tried to pass him he looked at us with a confused face and wouldn't really let us get around him. I shrugged it off as someone being difficult and we continued on our merry unsuspecting way. As we got to the very bottom level and turned to leave the stair well luckily I noticed the sign on the door read "Mens Locker Room". It all clicked in my mind why this guy wouldn't let us pass him on the stairs and was giving us funny looks. We quickly turned around and walked up one flight back to the lobby. Of course we started laughing and Leslie said to me "Oh yea, I almost went in there by accident on my way to class earlier tonight". This made me laugh even harder. When I got home Leslie and I exchanged texts and she told me that she almost walked in there a third time on her way to the women's locker room after I left.
Leslie makes me laugh. She is a great friend! I can't wait till we run our next 1/2 marathon.

There is only one word that describes Leslie - hilarious!
Actually the best four words that describe me are "not all the way there!" HAHA
Steph, I look forward to our future training for the half marathon.
