What's his name?

Who knew . . . in an effort to be a nice and thoughtful aunt I would turn out to be the uniformed and forgetful aunt?

Growing up my dad would send us post cards from the places he traveled for work.  It was a lot of fun getting a post card in the mail.  So I picked up a post card for my nephews when I was out playing tourist with Melanie.  A couple of days ago I filled out the post card, put all three boys names on it and put it in the mail.

Last night I received this email from my brother:

Monica was reading through the nice postcard you sent and then turned and asked me who is Andrew?  I assume you meant Alexander, the name of our third child.  But that does leave me now to ask you...who is Andrew? ;-)

BTW, thank you much for the post card.  We’ll share it with Dallin and Zachary tomorrow during breakfast.

This morning I received this email from my sister in-law:

Dallin woke up this morning and the post card was on his stool.  He quickly looked at the picture and said, “That is the coolest bridge!”  Then he read the front, “New York” after that he turned it over and read, “Dallin, Zachary and Al…hmm, mom is this how you spell Alexander?”  I told him that was the way Stephanie spells it.  J

Thanks for thinking of the kids, they do enjoy the picture and they have traded holding it all morning.

At first I felt a little bad but now it just makes me laugh really hard for some reason.

Andrew, Alexander they are soooo similar and both names have many of the same letters too.  It is hard keep track of very important things like this, but I will try harder, mostly so I don't confuse my oldest nephew who is learning to read (and very quickly might I add!).

Hahaha, that made me laugh. If you want to send me a post card, you can call me anything you want. I get as excited as any 5 year old would :)

I also just learned that I should never name my son Brian, because I have been known to type to fast and mixed up the spelling. "Dear Brain, thank you for . . ." Yea, luckily I caught that before I hit send on the email. Spell check doesn't catch those kind of mistakes.

That is hilarious! I never would have guessed you would have wrote that and that's why it's so funny. And, I loved seeing the pictures of you and Melanie and reading about your adventures. What a fun trip! You guys are the best!

You are so funny. I saw a link to your blog from Rachel use to be Durhams blog. I'm glad I took a peek because this seriously made me laugh out loud. Us mormons have so many kids that it's seriously hard to keep track!
