Her Day

Who knew . . . my mom had so many skills?

Here are just a few of them . . .

1) Her quilts are just as impressive on the underside as the are on the surface.
2) There isn't a spot, spill, stain, or unidentified goo that she can't remove from a piece of laundry.
3) She can neatly fold a fitted sheet so it lays flat and is the same size as the top sheet making the linen closet look like a high-end retail store.
4) She can prepare a delicious meal for the family when I can't find a single thing to eat and we are looking in the fridge.
5) She saves almost everything and can usually find it when someone needs it.
6) She can chew gum, listen to a book on tape, watch her favorite tv shows, sew, and pet a cat all at the same time.
7) She might be the only human left on the planet that reads the newspaper everyday and somedays reads the entire paper all the way through.
8) She is an active member of just about every quilt group, club, or association west of the Snoqualmie Pass
9) She can wrap a present and match the pattern of the paper at the seems creating a perfect package.
10) She knows where to buy just about anything you are looking for and may even have a coupon or discount for it too.
11) She may be a contender for the most perfect attendance as a temple worker.
12) She is a patient shopper and can hold out until she finds exactly what she is looking for.
13) Her handwriting is so neat and consistent that it makes printed documents look bad.

The list could go on and on, but you get the point.
