Girl Scout Cookies

Who knew . . . I just realized why my parents insisted I was involved in the Girl Scouts program growing up?

Was it for the chance to socialize with other girls my age? Nooooo

Was it for the chance to learn new skills through arts and crafts? Nope

Was it for the chance to go hiking and camping? Nuh-uh

Was it for the chance to feel like I was a part of a group or team? Nah

I just had a thin mint girl scout cookie and I realized it was for the COOKIES!  I can't believe it has taken me all these years to see into the real reason why I was a girl scout.

My favorite are the Samoas which in my day were called Carmel deLights. But back in the day before my tastebuds accepted coconut as delicious, it was the Peanut Butter Patties which are now called Tagalongs (what is up with that?). But there are few things in life that are consistent and the Thin Mint is a standard of truth one delicious cookie.

YUMMMMMMM

ooh, we totally have the same taste in GS cookies. I recently found a recipe for homemade samoas and I'm dying to try them!
