Ice Skating

Who knew . . . Sarah and Roz were born to ice skate?

(Stephanie, Lauren, Sarah, Roz)

I work with Lauren, Sarah and Roz.  Sarah mentioned that she had never ice skated in her life.  I decided it was time to change that and because we work two blocks away from Rockefeller Center and because I pass the ice rink every day going and coming from work we made it an after work event.  Come to find out it was Roz's first time too. (PS for those of you who are 30 Rock fans the building in the background is the building that the show supposedly takes place).

Roz took one lap gripping onto the wall, one lap gripping on to my arm as she dragged me along, and then she was good to go and rarely needed any assistance.  Sarah was pretty much the same as she had a great teacher by the name of Lauren.  It was a perfect evening for skating as it was in the high 50's which to us is warm, clear skies, and nearing the end of a long cold cloudy winter season.

My friend Georgina joined us, showed us some of her new moves she picked up during skating lessons she took this winter and we spent the rest of the evening taking pictures and videos.  We ended the evening with a little banana cream pudding and snickers pie from Magnolia bakery.  All in all it was an iconic and touristic New York evening. (PS touristic is not really a word but it is on this blog)

I took video for those who would like to experience skating at one of the worlds most famous rinks.  WARNING: if you experience motion sickness from the slightest of movements then drug up before you watch these two videos.

I know, I know inquiring minds want to see pictures of the new apartment but I have been waiting until the curtains were hung up and the couch arrived and was assembled before I took pictures.  I haven't had a chance yet, maybe this weekend I will get around to it and I will post again for the viewers at home.
